Gold Coast Bergamascos is a family-run bergamasco breeder from Long Island, New York. Our Dogs were brought from northern Italy where the breed originated. Hercules and Bella were both bred by life-long, award-winning bergamasco breeders in Milano and Seriate. Needless to say, they are the descendents of a meticulously controlled ancestry, which, for centuries, has been selected for magestic beauty and formidable intelligence. It is our goal to mimic the quality background which our dogs come from.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting a bergamasco knows that they possess an array of physical and personal qualities that significantly distinguish them from most other dog breeds. We believe our dogs to be exemplars of their breed's strong repuatition. The lure of bergamasco puppies is well-known to be capable of drawing large crowds in public places. Even adults seldom fail to be noticed due to their eccentric, matted-coat appearance and their gregarious nature. Bergamascos want nothing more than to be loved and accompanied by their owners, rarely if ever seeking seclusion (ours constantly follow us around the house).
